How to create a collection on Usiko

Connect Your Wallet

Start by connecting your Hedera-compatible wallet (e.g., HashPack). This wallet secures your NFTs and ensures all royalties flow directly to you. This is important because without a wallet, you cannot mint, own, or sell NFTs. It acts as your personal vault/purse on the blockchain.

Click “Create a Collection”

On your dashboard, select the Create a Collection button to begin. This is the moment you set the stage for your exhibition just like opening the doors of a gallery before arranging the artworks inside.

Enter Collection Name

Choose a name that represents your collection. Make it memorable, clear, and aligned with your vision. A strong name matters because it creates the first impression for collectors and helps them understand what your collection stands for.

Enter Token Symbol

Add a short identifier (like “DAHO” or “ZZZZ”). This works like a digital shorthand for your collection on the blockchain. It’s important because the token symbol makes your collection unique and recognizable wherever it appears.

Add Description

Write a description that explains what your collection is about. Share the story, inspiration, or cultural roots. This step is vital because stories turn collections into experiences; they help collectors connect emotionally with your work and see its meaning beyond the visual.

Select Category

Pick the category that best matches your collection (art, music, collectibles, heritage, etc.). Categories matter because they make your work easier to discover on the platform and help it reach the right audience.

Set Creator Fee

Decide the royalty percentage you’ll earn whenever your NFT is resold. This choice is important because royalties ensure your work continues to bring value to you even after the first sale. It’s a way of protecting your long-term stake in what you create.

Enter Creator Fee Recipient

Provide the wallet address where your royalties will be sent automatically. Adding this ensures that every transaction is directed straight to you without intermediaries.

Publish Collection

Review all your details, then click Publish. Your collection will be minted on Hedera and appear on Usiko’s marketplace for the world to explore. This final step matters because publishing makes your work part of the broader digital heritage, accessible to collectors and communities worldwide.
